Did you ever open up a Microsoft word document and find yourself overwhelmed by toolbars and rulers? For those of you who feel distracted by this, there is a full screen view that not many people are aware of.
It takes out most of the extra tools and buttons from your view so that the document is the only thing you see on your screen. This option is easily accessible in Word 2003, just go to view menu and then select Full Screen. To get out of full view go back to the menu and uncheck the option for full screen.
In Word 2007 however is in a different location. Go to View Menu, select full screen reading. This is not the same thing as full screen view, you will not be able to edit the document in this mode.
To access editable full screen view, you need to add the full screen view to the Quick Access toolbar. To add this toolbar, click the drop down arrow to the right of the quick access toolbar and select more commands. Then go to choose commands from and select commands not in the ribbon. Then proceed by checking the Toggle Full screen view. Click Add, then okay.
Then that's it! It will be available to click for the full screen view on your toolbar whenever you'd like.
